About Us
Solving Real Problems with Smarter Thinking
Founded in 2010, Wheely-Safe set out with a clear mission: to tackle one of the most dangerous and persistent issues faced by fleets of buses, coaches, trucks and trailers – wheel loss.
From day one, we approached the problem differently. Instead of relying on traditional brightly coloured wheel nut indicator tags that only work when a vehicle is stationary – and only if someone checks them – our patented sensor technology delivers real-time alerts while the vehicle is in motion, helping fleets stay safe while they are out on the road.
After years of development and rigorous testing, our award-winning systems offer cost-effective, proactive monitoring that not only helps prevent wheel loss, but also provides early warnings for:
Excessive wheel rim temperatures
Tyre underinflation
High tyre temperatures
Rapid tyre pressure loss
It’s a smarter, safer solution that removes the risk of human error and has redefined wheel and tyre safety across the industry.
Today, Wheely-Safe protects thousands of fleet assets worldwide with innovative, easy-to-use monitoring systems that keep vehicles moving, and drivers and other road users safe – from the streets of central London to dusty and unforgiving highways in the Australian outback.
Three-in-one defence
Wheely-Safe offers a multi-faceted safety system, combining three separate elements.
In-Motion Wheel Loss Detection:
- Patented sensors mounted in custom brackets straddle two wheel nuts, with a pair fitted to each outer wheel.
- They detect loosening wheel nuts while the vehicle is in motion and send an immediate in-cab alert to the driver – and with our cloud-connected offer, alerts to the Fleet Engineer and Transport Manager too.
Wheel Rim Temperature Monitoring:
- The wheel loss sensors also monitor wheel rim temperatures, providing alerts should temperatures exceed 100°C – often an indication of brake binding or hub failure.
Intelligent Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS):
- Our smart TPMS monitors tyre pressures, detects underinflation, rapid pressure loss, and high internal tyre temperatures that are often the first sign of an impending blowout.
- Easy-to-fit external sensors screw onto the valve stem in seconds, replacing the traditional dust cap.
Early Momentum & Industry Recognition
It didn’t take long for the road transport industry to recognise the breakthrough we’d made. Our original Wheely-Safe Driver system delivered an alternative solution to the persistent safety issue of wheel loss.
Within just a year of launch, Wheely-Safe was honoured with a series of prestigious industry awards, including accolades from the National Technology Awards, BRAKE Fleet Safety Awards, National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA), and the FTA Logistics Awards (now known as the Logistics UK Awards).
The recognition continued in 2022, when we won Gold in the Euro Bus Expo Innovation Challenge, and our sensor technology was officially named a DVSA Recognised Product. That same year, we were selected as an official delivery partner for Driving for Better Business – further validating the impact and reliability of our wheel security and TPMS solutions.
What followed this wave of recognition has been the most ambitious phase of product development in our company’s history – an intensive period of engineering, testing and refinement that has led to major upgrades across our entire suite of products – including the introduction of our first cloud-connected system.
This focus on continuous improvement has allowed us to deliver even greater value to fleet operators, with smarter, more robust solutions that meet the evolving demands of modern road transport and passenger transport fleets.
At the same time, we’ve expanded our product offering beyond purely commercial vehicles, bringing our TPMS to industrial and construction fleets of all shapes and sizes.
Smarter Monitoring, Evolved for Modern Fleets
Originally developed as a standalone solution, the Wheely-Safe Driver system provided drivers with instant audible and visual alerts in the cab – delivering a reliable monitoring solution for wheel and tyre issues. But as fleet operations evolved, so did the need for greater visibility and control.
Responding to growing demand for remote monitoring, we launched Wheely-Safe Connect – a next-generation, cloud-connected system that brings transport managers and workshops into the loop. Now, sensor alerts can be transmitted directly to the fleet’s depot or workshop, enabling faster response times and informed decision-making. The system also logs driver Walkaround inspections, providing clear, timestamped evidence that essential safety checks are being completed.
At the heart of these upgrades is our patented sensor technology, now offering extended transmission range and enhanced performance
Unlike traditional TPMS or standalone wheel security checks, Wheely-Safe Connect delivers a fully integrated safety ecosystem. It combines wheel-loss detection, temperature sensing for both tyres and wheel rims, and a smart TPMS all in one intuitive platform.
With Wheely-Safe Connect, fleet operators don’t just monitor vehicles – they can now unlock greater safety, reduced costs, and improved sustainability across every journey.
Meanwhile, our original Wheely-Safe Driver system remains a trusted choice for fleets that don’t require cloud connectivity.
The Evolution of Wheely-Safe
In May 2025, we rebranded to trade as Wheely-Safe Systems Ltd, reaffirming our commitment to delivering complete safety solutions directly to fleet operators.
